Welcome to the Marathon Animal Rescue Back to Back New England Challenge and No-Kill Animal Rescue/Shelter Awareness Campaign for Marathon Goal States 22 and 23! This Back to Back Challenge is my BIGGEST and FINAL charity campaign of 2016. My name is Richard Albanese and I am an ordinary marathoner attempting to complete a marathon in each of the 50 States and raise awareness and a one-time donation to the neediest no-kill animal rescues in each State. This campaign will run until 10/3/16 (After completion of the second marathon race). At the end of the campaign all donations received will be split and distributed equally between the two worthy no-kill animal rescues. For this special back to back marathon State challenge I will kick off the charity campaign with my own pledge donation of $5 per mile per marathon race to each charity totaling $262.00, which along with all other donations collected goes directly to a handpicked, worthy, no-kill animal rescue in each state. My modest goal is to raise $1,000 minimum in support of these two fantastic rescues. For this special, Multiple Marathon challenge I will begin with the the morning of 10/1/16 with the New Hampshire Marathon in Bristol, New Hampshire and then travel to nearby Portland, Maine to run a second marathon the next morning on 10/2/16.

After careful consideration and research I have first selected the FRANKLIN ANIMAL SHELTER in New Hampshire. This nonprofit rescue was chosen for its efforts not only to place animals for adoption, but to also provide care for abused, neglected or abandoned animals. I have also selected the ANIMAL REFUGE LEAGUE OF GREATER PORTLAND in Portland, Maine, a lifesaving organization with a 97% live release rate that does not euthanize animals based on space or time constraints.  

As always ALL DONOR CONTACT INFORMATION IS KEPT CONFIDENTIAL. Also there are no follow up lists, solicitations from Marathon Animal Rescue or the selected state individual animal rescues.
